Branding Yourself as an Artist

Author and Artist Robin Liefeld will share what she learned as she turned her hobby into an art business 4 years ago. She will discuss the role of social media and marketing in her success as well as tips on what to do after you sign your painting. Learn how to submit your art, refine your elevator speech, and find your tribe and raving fans.

Intro to Robin Liefeld

Robin Liefeld started her art business about 6 years ago when she discovered painting during a difficult time in her life. As an artist, she likes to create whimsical, childlike characters with vibrant colors and lots of dimension. Her colorful works of art often encourage standing in your truth and being brave in the face of challenges.

Robin is the author of “I Can Do Hard Things: A Bravery Journal” which is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. She teaches workshops online in her art studio, at art guilds and creative retreats. She shows her works in galleries, coffee shops, and offices. Robin is a member of Studios630 and on the boards of The Alliance of Fine Artists and The Elmhurst Artist Guild.

The Journey Workshop This is a one-time workshop that includes teaching, journaling, and art. The art is easy-peasy, and women of all skill levels will find it rewarding. The topic is the journey each woman takes from childhood to adulthood. This includes peeling away the untruths we have accumulated, looking at some of the stories we tell ourselves, helping remember who we are in God’s eyes, and living from that place of truth, worthiness, and authenticity. This workshop is geared toward Christian women ages 18 and up, married, single, divorced, in healthy or complicated relationships. It includes Scripture in an easy-to-grasp, nonjargon-y approach. We will talk about the Journey each woman takes in her life. Each “leg” of the journey will include a fun teaching time, then some reflective time writing in our journals, then creating some art that you will be able to take home with you and use as reminders and guideposts for your future journeys.
